Scary Spice, today launches her new career as a circus clown, Mr Damian can exclusively reveal.

Melanie Brown, currently dating washed up Hollywood has-been Eddie Murphy, is said to be 'very excited' about this latest change in direction having spent the last two years training hard at the world famous Krusty's Clown School in downtown LA.

Critics felt Scary's solo career was a bit of a boob

The former spicer, who had worldwide fame with her friends Ginger, Baby, Sporty and Posh, has struggled to earn a living since the band split up in the late 90s. Attempts to launch a solo career quickly crashed and burned after the public failed to buy her reinvention as an R&B singer. Occasional acting roles followed, but in the main Ms Brown was mostly to be seen in celebrity magazines looking like a downtrodden bag lady. Her renaissance as a circus act has been welcomed by fans. Alex Williams, who runs her unofficial fanclub told Mr Damian 'Mel's been out of the public eye for too long. The girl's a star, and now she's going to be back in the public eye where she belongs.'

John Roanoke who runs Krusty's told us that the former popstar had 'amazing natural ability and shown real commitment throughout her training.'

It's understood this commitment included under-going several painful 'foot stretching' operations, which cost her thousands of pounds.

No stranger to cosmetic surgery, the breast enhanced singer [sic] endured these unpleasant procedures to ensure that she was more suited to 'those big clown shoes.'

Mel B's fellow spicer's are understood to have been supportive of her career move, offering frequent advice and encouragement over the phone throughout the duration of her course.

'She couldn't have done it without them,' an insider told us.
