It's the season of giving, so Mr Damian did a quick survey to see what our readers were giving this year. Top of the list, once again, is action figures for the boys, figurines for the girls. But no longer will children settle for Barbie, Sindy or Action Man, in an age of 24/7 news and Reality TV this is what the kids want, a fact reflected in our Top Ten.

1) Scott Peterson - now you can fry him in the comfort of your own home too
2) Dimebag Darrell - gone but not forgotten, his estate is set to make millions
3) Jessica Biel - no, seriously
4) Steve from X Factor - this version doesn't sing, much like the original really
5) Usher - it may be a doll, but it's all there, no wonder it confuses prebuscent girls...
6) Paris Hilton - should we be surprised? The tart gets everywhere

Plastic

7) Michael Moore -Republican manufacturers missed their Halloween deadline
8) Yasser Arafat - it's what he would have wanted
9) John Kerry - in Vietnam vet gear - see Yasser Arafat
10) President Bush - it's only a toy, so slightly less scary than the real thing, but also slightly cleverer

Perhaps the closest that the Commander in Chief will ever get...
